Q: Could you please give us a brief introduction about Seele?
A: Seele is a technological ecosystem, which includes public blockchain, but also the technology needed from the lower network layer protocols all the way up to the application layer, like data exchange computing powers that we proposed in our whitepaper. Our slogan is that Seele innovates new era of Value Internet. Seele project has some more highlights, to increase TPS and scalability, so we redesign the fundamental network as a communication protocol. And then we have designed a new type of neural consensus algorithm to speed up the transaction confirmation and increase total TPS.
Q: Could you please elaborate more on neural consensus algorithm. So what’s the advantages over the other consensus algorithm, like PoW, DPoS?
A: First I want to point out that all the consensus algorithms have their own advantages and disadvantages. We don’t want to say we’re definitely much better than them. But what we are focusing on the neural consensus algorithm is scalability, performance and security. We want to invent this new algorithm to support large scale of networks with a lot of nodes, because we know PoW consumes lots of electricity, pBFT always has a problem about bandwidth. So our aim is to consume relatively low power and support a large number of nodes and also work with our heterogeneous forest network.
Q: One of the focus of the algorithm is scalability, and your ambitious throughput is one million per second, so is this you guys want to achieve？
A: Seele aims to solve complicated industrial applications, in which you want to have a better cohesion. With our new consensus algorithm and heterogeneous forest network, the more number of nodes in our network structure, we will get more TPS in the whole neural network.
Q: In blockchain industry, there is always a dilemma between speed and security, so is there any trade-off between security and speed in Seele?
A: we balance it in different ways. You need to evaluate the situation of the business you do. Users can choose different consensus algorithm suitable for their situations, but when they want to do collaboration, they connect to Seele heterogeneous forest network. So this is the kind of idea we are proposing.
Q: What’s the current progress for Seele project?
A: Currently we have finished MVP and uploaded code every day to our Github. We will release testnet in about Q2, and main net in about Q3. Also We are trying to establish collaborations in terms of both research and business. We are going to do meet-ups and annual developer conference as well.
Q: It’s undeniable that your team have very strong background, but some guys doubt that you don’t have much experience in blockchain industry, so will this be an issue for you in building blockchain 4.0?
A: Absolutely not. Actually, we think it is an advantage, because blockchain is a relatively new technology, and it contains various technologies. In our team, our team members have various backgrounds, like mathematicians, cryptography experts , big data experts, computing scientists and others. So it allows us to think from different perspectives, and that is why we have many new ideas and innovations in our whitepapers.
